    The **Hazmat Stock Clerk** is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools, and compiles stock records of items in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard of the position.

    Responsibilities

    + Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.

    + Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.

    + Store articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.

    + Fill orders or issues supplies from stock.

    + Prepare periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.

    + Requisition articles to fill incoming orders.

    + Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.

    + May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.

    + May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued.

    + May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.

    + May cut stock to site to fill order.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Completion or ability to complete HAZWOPPER training within 30 days of employment

    + Valid state driver's license

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others

    + Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within the available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work

    + Knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and other established guidelines

    + Experience with all Microsoft Office products

    + Must have excellent skills in verbal and written communication.

    + HAZMAT experience preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

     

    Estimated Salary/Wage

     

    Up to USD $20.44/Hr.
