AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Fort Worth, TX has an opening for a skilled CAD Designer/ Draftsman primarily responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics to build intricate custom feed and control panels and equipment used in the commercial water treatment industry. This is a full-time, in-person, non-exempt position with benefits.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable individual with a passion for creating technical drawings that will be used to design a specific system based on the unique requirement for each customer. The Draftsman is a hands-on position that requires a balance of trade and industry knowledge combined with the following areas of critical focus and skills:
+ Advanced expertise in computer operations and in Auto CAD, CAD and PDM software. Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes.
+ Interprets mechanical assembly drawings and drafts to understand the client's needs. Review customer drawings for missing dimensions and or discrepancies.
+ Knowledge of drafting principles, techniques and procedures. Ability to comprehend and implement a wide range of client CAD standards.
+ Collaboration is necessary to work along cross functioning teams such as engineering, quoting, and fabricating to accurately interpret and make drawings for new and existing control panels and equipment.
+ Dedicated to exceeding quality standards and providing products and services of the highest caliber.
+ Requires minimal supervision to perform day-to-day tasks. Coordinate their workload on multiple projects with leadership.
+ Proven ability to learn, adapt, and problem-solve to produce accurate and quality deliverables.
+ Highly organized and efficient. Maintains drawings database and documentation with a focus on attention to detail, superior record keeping and compliance regulations.
+ Safety to implement procedures that ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Draftsman position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three or more years' work experience in proven CAD, AutoCAD, CAM or similar software; or a bachelor's degree in Science in engineering or architecture, drafting and design, or related field of study.
Additional Skills and Qualifiications desired include but are not limited to:
+ Technical expertise with PDM software (Product management software), Microsoft office and other commonly used programs.
+ Strong knowledge of mathematics.
+ Creating Bill of Material (BOM's)
+ Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
+ Experience designing manuals to describe the features, upkeep procedures and operational instructions of a completed product.
+ Detail-oriented and highly organized.
+ Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
+ Proactive, self-motivated, and results driven.
