    Location – Montgomery, AL (100% onsite)

    PURPOSE:

    The Windows System Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Windows Server Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022

    + Active Directory Management: Manage users and groups, configure and maintain Group Policies

    + Data Backup and Recovery: Implement backup solutions and manage data recovery procedures

    + System Monitoring: Use performance monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and troubleshoot issues

    + Server Virtualization: Manage Hyper-V and VMware environments

    + Cloud Services: Manage and optimize Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure

    + Automation and Scripting: Perform automation tasks using PowerShell and other scripting languages

    + Security Patches and Upgrades: Apply regular system updates and security patches

    + User Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues

    + SCCM and MECM Management: Manage software deployment and updates using System Center Configuration Manager and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager

    + Exchange Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Exchange servers

    + Microsoft 365 Management: Configure and support Microsoft 365 environments

    + Spam Filters, Message Tracking, and Whitelisting: Experience with spam filter setup, message tracking, and whitelisting

    + Network Traffic Analysis: Monitor and analyze network traffic statistics to identify performance issues

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

    + Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows server management

    + Deep understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies

    + Experience with SCCM, MECM, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 management

    + Experience with network security and data backup solutions

    + Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) preferred

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS)

    + Proficiency in PowerShell and other scripting languages

    + Project management experience

     

    Salary Range:  $75,880 to $108,500/yr. + an outstanding company Benefits package.
