    Job Summary

    This position is considered a full-time position and will work Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 5:30 pm.  In this position, the successful applicant will assist the County Highway Department on a variety of road projects throughout the season.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

     

    + This position may perform installation, repair, and maintenance activities on County roadways and ditches.

    + The successful applicant must also be able to work in the elements while performing work safely and responsibly.

    + We are looking for an individual who is committed to protecting and enhancing the current roadway infrastructure within our County.

    + Equally important, we need an individual who can courteously serve our constituents in a manner consistent with our Core Values.

     

    Qualifications and Skills

     

    + High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED);

    + Possesses or may obtain a Class A license at the time of hire;

    + Knowledge of relevant safety practices;

    + Knowledge of related tools, machinery, and equipment utilized in road repair activities;

    + Capacity to take direction; and

    + Strong attention to detail is required.
