Description
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of HUD Scattered Site Housing Program, OASAS Permanent Supportive Housing Program, Shelter Care Plus Housing Program, and Garden Lofts at Marine Hospital.
+ Provides supervisory oversight of the housing program staff as assigned.
+ Keeps up-to-Date with regulatory or policy changes that impact program activities, goals, objectives, and outcomes.
+ Trains staff in procedures and requirements of any grants/contracts as they are established in the agency.
+ Initiates and/or assists with policy development for grant or contract implementation and operations.
+ Conducts regular quality improvement reviews of housing policies and practices and looks for ways to improve program performance.
+ Performs quality control chart audits on a regular basis.
+ Visits clients at their home with staff on a regular basis to ensure client is receiving appropriate level of care and services.
+ Ensures all required documentation is being completed on time by staff.
+ Mediates conflict resolution.
+ Responds promptly to issues and concerns of clients, landlords, and staff.
+ Ensures residents obtain housing that meets standards of quality set by HUD.
+ Supervises housing staff with the development of programming that is essential to enhancing resident self-sufficiency.
+ Oversees the training of new hire staff as assigned.
+ Oversees and provides professional development and training of the housing staff as assigned.
+ Performs intakes of new referrals as needed.
+ Attend and/or facilitate weekly staff meetings.
+ Attend regular community meetings as assigned.
+ Establishes new and supports existing relationships with landlords to provide housing opportunities for residents that meet HUD standards.
+ Carries case load as assigned
+ Carries out additional duties essential to the above-stated responsibilities as assigned.
+ Is mindful of and integrates Trauma-Informed Care and its five principles in all duties and interactions with fellow staff, residents, and external partners.
+ Maintains compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality (42 CFR, Part 2), HIPAA, Medicaid and/or HUD, and any others.
+ Regular attendance at work location.

Requirements
+ Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of 6 months’ human service experience OR
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of one year of human service experience OR
+ Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of three years of human service experience
+ 3 years direct supervisory experience
+ In addition the qualifications above, a valid New York State driver’s license is required with reliable automobile.
