Description

The Graphic Design Intern will manage various initiatives such as creating graphics and collateral for various departments, social media management, website content, recruitment efforts, fundraising, etc. They carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: design, manage, and maintain all graphics.

Essential Responsibilities and Desired Outcomes:

+ Create designs, concepts, and sample work based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

+ Engage in “outside-the-box” thinking to create high value-of-service for internal customers, and provide suggestions and solutions in efforts to make the project deliverables more effective and efficient.

+ Prepare instructions and manuals for individuals who assemble, prepare, manage and distribute final products.

+ Develop concepts for and design all collateral materials including brochures, flyers, t-shirts, posters, and websites for various departments.

+ Manage and maintain graphic files and ensure complete and accurate information is stored in the design collective folder.

+ Develop creative marketing strategies related to collateral in efforts to capture customers and interest in programs.

Education/Qualifications:

+ Must have prior graphic design experience.

+ In progress of Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field.

+ Knowledge of general business practices and computer skills including web design, Adobe Creative Suites, and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Also must be highly detail oriented.

+ Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards. Must provide proof of auto insurance.

+ Must pass a WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.
