Occupation Therapist,RehabDepartment

Provides occupational therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover andmaintainoccupational skills.

Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:

* Assesses patient's ability tosafely and effectively perform occupational skills. Designs theappropriate planof care, including type and frequency of treatment.

* Implements the treatment plan usingappropriate modalities.

* Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitors andmodifiesthe plan of care as needed. Seeksconsultationas necessary.

* Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.

* Plans and/orassistswith patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regardingappropriate selection/useof adaptive equipment and support programs.

* Supervises and delegates the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

Minimum EducationBachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or higher: □ Preferred X Required
