Description

A well established Twin Cities law firm seeks a highly motivated and skilled Healthcare Litigation Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a passion for complex litigation and client advocacy to contribute to significant and impactful cases.

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on a wide range of healthcare-related legal issues

+ Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.

+ Independently manage aspects of discovery, including document review, witness preparation, and taking and defending depositions.

+ Develop case strategies and arguments in collaboration with senior attorneys.

+ Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, arbitration, and administrative hearings.

+ Cases include a wide variety across medical malpractice, regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute), managed care disputes, fraud and abuse allegations, and licensing board actions.

+ Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.

+ Stay abreast of current developments in healthcare law and litigation trends.

+ Maintain meticulous case files and adhere to firm procedures and deadlines.

+ Supervise paralegals and legal secretaries on assigned cases.

Compensation and Benefits:

Requirements

• Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation.

• Strong experience in legal briefing, drafting, and complaint handling.

• Excellent research and analytical abilities in order to develop effective legal strategies.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for courtroom and client interactions.

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

• Active license to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
