Shift: Day Shift; Monday through Friday
Status: Full-time; 80 hours per pay

Arnot Health is looking for a Rehabilitation Services Department Secretary to keep our busy Rehab Services team running smoothly. What You'll Do:
+ Be the friendly face greeting patients, families, and visitors.
+ Answer phone calls, take detailed messages, and schedule appointments with precision.
+ Maintain and update patient records and charts accurately.
+ Manage the department’s electronic scheduling system — maximizing therapist efficiency and minimizing downtime.
+ Follow up with patients who miss appointments and help keep their care on track.
+ Support therapists by reviewing and correcting billing charges and submitting monthly reports.
+ Order office and clinical supplies to keep the department running smoothly.
+ Assist with Rehab Aide/Technician duties when needed (training provided!).
+ Prepare meeting minutes, track departmental statistics, and handle confidential information with care.
+ Ensure every patient encounter is welcoming, safe, and age-appropriate — from infants to older adults.
What We're Looking For:
+ High school diploma or equivalent (required)
+ One-year secretarial/business program (preferred)
+ Typing, filing, and computer skills (required)
+ Familiarity with medical terminology (preferred)
+ Previous healthcare or rehabilitation services experience (a plus!)
+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize
+ Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and customer service excellence
Physical Demands:
+ Occasional lifting and physical effort required.
+ Must be comfortable standing, walking, and performing light tasks throughout the day.
Exposure Category:
+ Category III: No exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues during normal job duties.
+ No direct patient care exposure required.
