Seeking Experienced Accounting and Finance professionals to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals team! Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities for the successful Senior Accountant include:
• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
• Preparation of journal entries
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
• Preparation of work papers for annual audit
• Assist with budget preparation and prepare the monthly budget variance analyses
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules
• Assist with initial internal control evaluations
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested
• Supervising accounting staff
Requirements
Ideal Full-Time Engagement Professionals will possess:
• 5+ years' experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited university, required. Master of Business Administration or professional certification preferred.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups required; Macros preferred)
• Comprehensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong general ledger/journal entry proficiency
• Experience with month end process and procedures
• Heavy reconciliations
• Financial Statement Prep
Additional but Not Required:
• Active Certified Public Account or pursuing Certified Public Account
• Experience with cost accounting, fixed assets or sales and use tax.
• SOX Compliance / testing experience highly desired
• SEC Reporting experience highly desired
Software/System Expertise (multiple preferred but not required):
• Oracle, PeopleSoft, Great Plains, Solomon Timberline, QuickBooks, Lawson, Yardi, SAP, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics (Solomon), Hyperion, MAS90, ADP, JD Edwards, Crystal Reports
