    PHP Laravel Developer

     

    Job Type: Long-Term Contract

    Overview:

    We are looking for an experienced PHP Laravel Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality web applications using the Laravel framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle. This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, with the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.

    + Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to create user-friendly, scalable solutions.

    + Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

    + Design and implement RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.

    + Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

    + Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.

    + Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and standups.

    + Maintain technical documentation related to the systems you develop and support.

    Requirements

    Required Skills and Experience:

    + 4+ years of professional experience with PHP development.

    + Strong experience with the Laravel framework (Laravel 8 or newer preferred).

    + Solid understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles.

    + Proficient with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.

    + Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration.

    + Experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a modern framework like Vue.js or React is a plus).

    + Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

    + Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

    + Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar).

    + Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.

    + Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.

    + Exposure to testing frameworks like PHPUnit.

    Work Model:

    + Hybrid schedule (2-3 days on-site in Charlotte, NC; remainder remote)

    Contract Type:

    + Long-Term Contract (12+ months with extension potential)
