Description
Robert Half is recruiting for a Manager of Financial Reporting for a N. Raleigh based client. This role will play a critical leadership role, overseeing all aspects of financial reporting to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This position involves working closely with cross-departmental teams, executive management to provide expert analysis and reporting that supports data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy in reporting.
Research and implement new accounting standards or policies as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry changes.
Collaborate with auditors on all external and internal audit matters, providing necessary documentation and support.
Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and other tools to provide insights on organizational performance.
Oversee financial reporting systems, ensuring optimal performance and identifying opportunities for innovation and automation.
Provide mentorship to the financial reporting team, encouraging professional development and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Act as the subject matter expert for technical accounting issues, ensuring complex transactions are appropriately accounted for.
Collaborate across teams (finance, IT, operations) to resolve financial reporting and system challenges.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting
Strong knowledge of GAAP, and technical accounting concepts.
Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with a focus on team building and professional development.
CPA license is preferred.
