Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join their team. This role involves supporting real estate transactions, managing legal documentation, and assisting with compliance for commercial properties. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic industry while leveraging your expertise in corporate real estate.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys in managing and finalizing commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of title commitments, surveys, and other due diligence materials to identify potential issues impacting property deals.
• Prepare, review, and maintain lease agreements, amendments, subleases, and other related real estate documents.
• Draft, edit, and analyze corporate real estate agreements, such as purchase and sale contracts, escrow instructions, and related documents.
• Maintain corporate records, including entity formation documents, operating agreements, resolutions, and annual filings for property ownership entities.
• Gather, organize, and analyze due diligence materials to ensure compliance with transaction closing requirements.
• Monitor and file regulatory compliance reports related to zoning, land use, and environmental issues affecting commercial properties.
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal teams to manage and track litigation matters pertaining to real estate.
• Oversee the lifecycle of contracts with service providers, contractors, and vendors associated with the company’s properties.
• Conduct legal research on real estate laws and regulations to support compliance and corporate governance.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Certification from an approved paralegal program is preferred.
• Experience as a paralegal, with a minimum of 3 years focused on corporate real estate or commercial properties.
• Proven expertise in handling commercial leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions.
• Familiarity with corporate entity formation and governance related to property ownership.
• Strong knowledge of commercial real estate transactions, zoning regulations, and land use requirements.
• Proficiency in reviewing title commitments, surveys, and due diligence materials.
• Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
