    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Santa Ana, California. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a growing organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in full-cycle accounts payable processes and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Reports directly to the Assistant Controller.

    Responsibilities:

    • Review and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and alignment with purchase orders.

    • Assign appropriate general ledger codes to invoices and verify three-way matches before routing for approval.

    • Prepare and execute payment batches, including electronic transfers and check runs, to maintain timely payment schedules.

    • Reconcile vendor statements with the accounts payable ledger to ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.

    • Address inquiries from suppliers and employees regarding invoice payment statuses in a detail-oriented manner.

    • Generate detailed accounts payable reports, such as aging reports, to monitor outstanding balances and identify potential discrepancies.

    • Perform additional duties related to accounts payable as assigned, adhering to company policies and procedures.

    • Ensure compliance with organizational rules and contribute to process improvements where applicable.

     

    Requirements • Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.

     

    • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries effectively.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies.

    • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Dependable and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a detail-oriented setting.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    • Experience with accounting software systems and ERP platforms.

    • Familiarity with three-way matching and high-volume invoicing processes.
