We have an immediate opening for a self-motivated and reliable Construction Technician. Under the general supervision of the Construction Superintendent, the Construction Technician will be responsible for performing physical labor on job sites and assisting with the completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have general carpentry skills and must be willing to travel within the state of Kentucky and stay overnight as needed.

Job Type : Full-Time

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5 :30 PM ( Monday-Thursday )

Compensation : $ 15.00-20 .00 per hour, based on experience, plus per diem allowance , mileage reimbursement and monthly cell phone reimbursement of $100

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

+ Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, and other tools as directed by management.

+ Clean and prepare the job site as needed to assist in the progression of the job.

+ Perform general labor duties which may include but not limited to framing, hanging drywall, painting, hanging doors and windows, cabinetry

+ Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job on a daily basis.

+ Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.

+ Load and unload construction supplies as needed.

+ Assist other construction staff as needed.

+ Other duties as assigned by the Construction Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS :

+ High School Diploma or equivalent.

+ Minimum of 5 years of construction experience.

+ Ability to perform physical labor and adapt to varying weather conditions.

+ Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

+ Punctual, reliable, and dependable.

+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

+ Willingness to travel long distances as needed.

+ Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and background checks.
