    Job Summary

    Responsible for general ledger entries preparation and posting, account reconciliations, month end close processes, and reporting including plant and lease accounts within fixed asset and lease software.

     

    Responsible for working with business owners to resolve outstanding issues related to classification of projects.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Performs accounting functions and analysis for responsible areas such as fixed assets, leases, intangibles, prepaid expenses, debt, and others as assigned.

    + Monitor work order systems and evaluate projects and approvals to ensure capital projects are timely released and timely placed into service in SAP.

    + Prepare journals, reconciliations and SOX controls within defined schedule. Maintain accurate and complete accounting records.

    + Assist with continuous monitoring and improvements of existing processes.

    + Prepares regular and ad hoc reports, as requested.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

     

    + Applied knowledge and experience with US GAAP and SAP ECC accounting system.

    + Knowledge of fixed asset management systems and lease management systems.

    + Analytical problem solving and attention to details.

    + Capable of working independently to complete assignments in a timely manner.

    + Intermediate knowledge of Excel, MS Office, etc.

     

    Education and Experience

     

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience demonstrating breadth of assignments.

    + 1 - 2 years of related accounting work experience.

    + Experience with SAP or other larger ERP systems is preferred.
