    Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) is looking for a Aircraft Mechanic I- Non- Destructive Testing (NDT) to work in Fort Cambell, Kentucky. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

     

    Aircraft mechanic I am working in a rotary-wing aviation prop and rotor back shop.

    Responsibilities

    + Candidate will work on components from three MDS aircraft: MH-6/MH-47/MH-60.

    + Responsible for inspecting, adjusting, repairing, and returning to service power train components including gearboxes, rotor heads, tail rotor systems, stabilators, rotor dampeners, and other components.

    + Will perform NDT inspections as required.

    + Will use supplied technical references to complete all assigned work.

    + Will document all work completed in ACN.

    + Will use PPE and hazmat products IAW with technical publications.

    Qualifications

    + Must be a U.S. citizen.

    + Must be able to obtain secret clearance.

    + Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) job requirements:

    + Documented On the Job Training (OJT) and the minimum training hours in Eddy Current, Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasound inspection methods. Documented experience should list specific method, aircraft type, results, and hours for each inspection. Expected to become certified as Level II in at least two inspection methods. Certification and qualifications are in accordance with NAS-410.

    + Must have the ability to follow written procedures and evaluate and interpret inspection results.

    + Must have own tools and toolbox.

    + Must be able to pass required NDT vision testing.

    + Must be familiar with digital record keeping systems such as ACN, ULLS-A, ELAS, etc.

    + Minimum of 6 years in aviation maintenance, preferably 2 years in a back shop environment.
