    Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

    Job Description

    The Structures Mechanic will perform fabrication, installation, and modifications on Gulfstream aircrafts for the US Navy.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine maintenance and inspections

    + Perform structural repairs and modifications

    + Ensure proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work

    + Accurately complete required paperwork and work order details

    + Order parts as requested by lead technician

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area including personal tool box

    + Work overtime as required

    Essential Skills

    + Modification, repair, fabrication experience

    + Experience with Gulfstream and Learjet aircrafts

    + Sheet metal fabrication and modification

    + Fixed wing aircraft experience

    + Blueprint and drawing reading skills

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 4+ years of structures/sheet metal experience in MRO/modification environment

    + Must be eligible for clearance

    + Aircraft experience on Learjet 31, 35, and 36 and Gulfstream 4 and Gulfstream 4SP preferred

    + Flexibility to work any shift

    + Must provide own tools (shadow requirements)

    + Must be able to read blueprints/drawings

    Work Environment

     

    Hangar environment. Two shifts available: Monday - Friday 6AM-4PM OR Monday-Friday 3PM-1AM. Must be comfortable with working overtime, expected to work at least 50 hours a week.

    This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr.
