Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 4 years of experience in policy, escalation management, crisis management, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master's degree in relevant field.
+ Experience with managing escalations and crises, working with teams and Executives.
+ Familiarity with the advertiser ecosystem, infrastructure, and types of online abuse.
+ Ability to handle high-pressure, in changing and unstructured environments with minimal manager guidance.
+ Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.
Trust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. We are the cross-product abuse and crisis management hub of Trust and Safety. We coordinate cross-functional response to high sensitivity escalations, connecting dots and synthesizing all incident intelligence, ultimately driving the issue to resolution. Partnering cross-functional across the business, we strive for a 360 view of cross-product risks facing Google to provide incident intelligence and abuse mitigation assurance.

A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Take command in critical Ads incidents, ensuring effective coordination and communication across teams for swift and effective resolution, minimizing negative user and organizational impact. Consistently track issues/escalations throughout the life-cycle of an incident.
+ Identify potential strategic risks to users or Google products, conduct impact assessments, and develop mitigation strategies to manage product abuse and manage events/crisises.
+ Review past incidents, identifying context, root causes, and actions for improvement in the monetized space.
+ Build and maintain relationships with intelligence, enforcement, legal, policy, government affairs, and other cross-functional partners to effectively address challenges in the Google Ads world.
+ Participate in the on call rotation schedule to manage high priority escalations that may occur outside of standard non work hours. Review or be exposed to sensitive or violative content as part of core role.
