    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 3 years of experience in Finite Element Analysis.

    + 3 years of experience with numerical methods/modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., Abaqus, Hypermesh), 3D CAD software, and experience with material testing, tensile testing, and strain-gauge instrumentation.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

    + 5 years of experience in mechanics and structural analysis for consumer hardware.

    + Experience with the development and integration of electro-mechanical components (e.g., display assemblies, batteries, antennas).

    + Ability to communicate with cross-functional team members and other technical disciplines, and collaborate across organizations to achieve project goals.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Build structural and mechanical models for analysis using Abaqus or similar Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software packages.

    + Deliver analysis simulations for static and dynamic models related to parts, modules, and full assemblies.

    + Provide design trade study simulation support during early design phases, present results of analyses with reports, and present to product teams and upper management.

    + Provide detail design recommendations to the Product Design teams based on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) results, contributing to the product design.

    + Help drive failure analysis, root cause work, and design of experiments. Respond rapidly in a changing environment to technical issues, including troubleshooting, and problem-solving, and support material and component level characterization testing.
