Job Title: Entry-level Production Operator
Job Description
As an Entry-level Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating drum and tote filling requirements. You will ensure proper selection of drums to roll onto conveyors and stencil or label containers according to customer requirements. Additionally, you will conduct quality control checks on empty containers, add dye to drums, and handle drum/tote shipping. Your role will also involve repackaging drums, pumping drums to flush tanks, and maintaining customer quality control standards.
Responsibilities
+ Perform daily inspections of pipelines and valves.
+ Conduct minor maintenance activities.
+ Execute operating orders, work orders, and other associated documents.
+ Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
+ Problem-solve and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
+ Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Perform daily housekeeping tasks as needed.
+ Manage drums, inventory, and conveyors.
+ Operate a forklift to move drums and manage inventory.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
+ Proficiency in reading and understanding written materials and performing basic numerical calculations.
+ Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
+ Capability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Forklift operating experience.
+ Previous work experience in a warehouse setting, preferably in an industrial plant environment.

Work Environment
The work environment is a warehouse setting within an oil and gas terminal/plant. The shift is from 6am to 3pm, with overtime available on a voluntary basis, typically on Saturdays. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and flame-resistant clothing (FRCs), with steel-toed boots provided after a certain period. The team consists of 50 employees and approximately 15 contractors, fostering a cooperative team dynamic.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GEISMAR, Louisiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
