Job Title: 2nd Shift Press Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Press Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting in the operation of press machines during the second shift, with an emphasis on maintaining quality and efficiency. This is a great opportunity for those with a passion for manufacturing and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in operating press machines effectively and efficiently.

+ Load parts, set measurements, and start the press process.

+ Prepare finished products for shipping by placing them on pallets.

+ Organize and track work orders using paper documentation.

+ Inspect parts for quality assurance.

+ Operate a sit-down forklift and drive a pull truck or 'carpet puller'.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and machine operating.

+ Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

+ Proficiency in using a tape measure and performing assembly tasks.

+ Mechanically inclined with experience in machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in direct printing is preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.

+ Basic forklift experience is beneficial.

Work Environment

The position is set in a manufacturing environment with second shift hours from 3:00 PM to 1:45 AM, Monday to Thursday. Training occurs Monday through Thursday from 5 AM to 3:30 PM for 4 to 6 weeks. The facility can get slightly cold or hot, as it is not completely temperature controlled. The dress code includes steel-toed or composite shoes, pants, and a t-shirt. No cell phones are allowed on the floor, but you can use a speaker at a reasonable volume. The digital area is air-conditioned, providing a comfortable work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
