Job Title: 2nd Shift Material Handler Forklift
Job Description
The Distribution Material Handler is responsible for quality control, sorting, and maintaining the flow of materials through the distribution system. This role requires the individual to be aware of distribution goals and anticipate potential problems. Effective communication and maintaining positive relations within the organization are essential.
Responsibilities
+ Pick and pack orders to ensure they are pulled and packaged correctly for loading.
+ Ensure orders are loaded onto the correct trailer with complete paperwork for shipment.
+ Develop and maintain a clean, safe working environment and participate in safety programs and required training.
+ Demonstrate and incorporate safety principles for self and others into daily activities.
+ Sort and move products using various material handling equipment, including forklifts and handheld devices.
+ Perform duties in a manner that promotes teamwork and encourages team effort.
+ Carry out additional duties as assigned to support departmental and company goals.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in forklift operation.
+ Experience in inventory management and loading.
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
+ Capability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Experience with hand and power tools, including tape measure reading.
+ Carpentry and framing skills.
+ Previous experience in an assembly line or construction environment.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of two large, well-lit buildings with several long paint lines, each operated by two workers. While the facility is spacious, it is warm due to automated lines. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schofield, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.95 - $18.95/hr.
