Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical repairs on industrial equipment. This role involves leading the maintenance crew during night shifts, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
+ Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on industrial equipment.
+ Lead and manage the maintenance crew during night shifts.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment and machinery.
+ Utilize skills in welding, fabrication, and schematic reading.
+ Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, and perform repairs.
+ Coordinate tasks and ensure completion within set timelines.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a non-automotive industry.
+ 1+ years of experience in a leadership role, with hands-on team lead or supervisory duties.
+ 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, including welding/fabrication, motors, and conveyors.
+ 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience, including PLCs and 480v systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Siemens and the person-Bradley equipment.
+ Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems.

Work Environment
The facility is dedicated to the manufacturing and distribution of roofing and building products, working closely with professional roofing distributors. With approximately 30 employees on site and a growing maintenance team, you will be part of a close-knit group aiming for excellence. The maintenance department is currently expanding from 3 to 5 members, providing a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DETROIT, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
