Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in pneumatic brake systems, air ride and spring ride diagnosis and repair procedures, and the ability to understand the physics of trailer load support. You will be responsible for electrical wiring systems, ABS braking repairs, and heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance. Your mechanical ability will be crucial for maintaining wheel end and brake system repairs.

Responsibilities

+ Diagnose and repair pneumatic brake systems.

+ Perform air ride and spring ride diagnosis and repair.

+ Understand trailer load support physics for proper repair.

+ Handle electrical wiring systems and ABS braking repairs.

+ Maintain wheel end and brake systems.

+ Perform heavy-duty truck/trailer repair and maintenance.

+ Operate power and hand tools, as well as other equipment used in servicing vehicles.

+ Move freely throughout the service area, including climbing in/out of trailers, bending, walking, and manipulating tools/equipment.

+ Use testing equipment, including computers and electronic diagnostic tools, to determine failed components.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in diesel troubleshooting and repair.

+ Proficiency in welding repairs.

+ Ability to perform body work and suspension repair.

+ Strong diagnostic skills.

+ Experience with heavy trucks and engines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with fleet maintenance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Painesville, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
