    Title: Staff Industrial Designer III

     

    + Serve as an integral part of TTI’s Techtronic Design International (TDI) department developing power tool and outdoor products.

    + Contribute as a passionate, driven, and creative hands-on designer within the award-winning product development team.

    + Envision future products and work within a multi-disciplinary team. Articulate initiatives through strong visual and verbal communications.

    + Conduct design integration in the business environment and lead complex programs collaborating with internal and external global teams. Provide creative design solutions for the contribution of Industrial Design to the quality and profitability of the business.

    + Research, plan, and produce holistic design concepts and specifications that optimize the physical design of products.

    + Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and Industrial Design practice into projects and activities in the design organization.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Design or related field, and 3 years of experience in an industrial design setting. Employer will accept pre- or post- degree experience including pre-Bachelor's degree.

    Experience must include:

    + 3D surfacing and solid modeling skills (Solidworks or similar).

    + Adobe Creative Suite.

    + Marketplace and product trends.

    + Human factors and ergonomics.

    + Recommend and document colors, finishes, materials, textures, and processes in an industrial setting.

    + Manufacturing/tooling considerations, such as injection molding parameters, assembly construction, part draft, textures, and material properties.

    + Working within established visual brand languages.

    + Utilizing user-based research data into viable design solutions.
