Job Requisition: REQ3554 Employment Type: Per Diem Shift; Weekends Hours Per Week: As scheduled
Hiring range: $ 18.18 - $21.71 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates, documents, and manages security incidents and hazards.
• Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
• Trains and mentors staff on environment of care and emergency management processes and procedures. Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
• Provides for traffic and parking enforcement within campus area and participates in foot and vehicle patrols.
• Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Operates vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.
FRONT RECEPTION DESK
+ Responsible for greeting all visitors and assisting them with check-in, appointment verification and directions as needed.
+ Responsible for assisting with incoming phone calls.
+ Operates hospital security camera system, assisting department as needed.
Complexity of Work:
+ Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Preferred Credential(s):
+ Driver’s License credentialed from the New York Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Security Guard credentialed from the New York Department of State obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer.
+ Preferred Credential(s): • BLS Provider. • Law Enforcement. • Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc.
Education:
+ High school diploma or GED or three (3) years of relevant experience required, In addition to certification
