The Gift Records Specialist is responsible for completing and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of donations made to Syracuse University through various channels, including mail, electronic submission, data import, and phone. Primary responsibilities include data entry, research, validation, scanning, and accurately assigning gifts to constituent records while strictly adhering to recognition credit guidelines. This role requires maintaining data integrity within the University's Citrus CRM database in accordance with established policies and procedures. Additionally, the specialist will update and add donor biographical information as needed during the processing of gifts. The position also involves retrieving, processing, and batching gifts to Syracuse University Athletics in preparation for import and processing in Citrus.

The role assesses donor instructions and data verification to recommend posting modifications or process payments against pledges as appropriate.

Due to the nature of calendar year-end giving, this role requires occasional overtime work as well as additional hours between late December and early January (excluding legal holidays), during which the university may implement alternative work schedules.
