Job Description:
This position is for an experienced writer/editor to help create educational and marketing content for participants in 401(k), equity award, deferred compensation and other employer-sponsored plans to promote the benefits of participation and the products and services available through Merrill. Develop materials in collaboration with designers and developers to educate plan participants on a variety of saving, investing and other financial wellness topics. Ensure that all materials are accurate, engaging, encourage positive participant behaviors and support the Workplace Benefits organization’s value proposition and strategy.
The Workplace Benefits Creative Services team handles an **extremely high volume of communication requests** . Continued growth is forecast, with a strong focus on digital engagement, financial wellness, and driving communications-automation. Thus, the candidate needs to have a ‘go digital’ mentality, content management experience and be comfortable learning new technologies.
Responsibilities:
+ Write and edit copy and review design to ensure that content is incorporated properly
+ Translate complex topics into user-friendly communications
+ Create and present concepts to key stakeholders
+ Juggle numerous projects simultaneously and provide back-up support to other editor/writers
+ Handle projects from the outset – coordinating with project managers other partners to manage project deliverables to agreed-upon timelines
+ Maximize the power of content management systems and the efficiency of standardized, best-practice copy.

+ Experience and/or background in marketing and/or financial services/retirement industry.
+ Must be able to work in a team environment
Desired:
+ Demonstrated excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
+ Financial services/retirement/heath benefit marketing experience preferred
+ Proficiency using content management/production systems
+ Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
