To continue our rapid growth and success in providing compliance, planning, and consulting services to our clients, we’re currently seeking a Tax Partner to be a growth engine for our Chicago Tax (https://www.cbh.com/services/tax/) practice. Previous service line, regional, market, or industry leadership experience is desirable.
In this highly visible role, you'll be responsible for designing, leading, and building the Chicago (https://www.cbh.com/locations/?location-market=chicago) tax practice focused on tax compliance and tax provision outsourcing for middle-market, private equity backed and public companies. We're looking for a results-driven partner who will contribute to expanding the practice by using their strong professional network presence and by engaging in business development opportunities with other firm leaders. Exceptional business development experience and client relationship skills are necessary.
Our ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of middle market commercial industries including Industrials & Consumer Goods (https://www.cbh.com/industries/industrial-manufacturing/) (manufacturing, distribution, transportation, retail), Private Equity (https://www.cbh.com/industries/private-equity/) , or similar. Prior International or M&A tax related experience is desirable. This position will be based in Chicago and relocation assistance may be provided. Limited travel should be expected. Your key responsibilities will include:
+ Consistently grow the practice through expansion of services to existing clients, cross selling with other advisory practices, and obtaining new clients.
+ Execute the Firm and Tax Service Line vision, strategy, and goals for the Chicago tax practice, as well as support other leaders in their execution of the strategic plan.
+ Ensure discipline around execution of Service Line business processes and Firm business practices for the Chicago tax practice.
+ Manage the utilization and productivity of professionals in the practice to achieve operational and financial targets.
+ Utilize leadership skills, acting as a role model, to provide coaching, mentoring, and training in the development of partners and professionals within the practice and build a talent pipeline with the requisite technical expertise.
+ Drive consistency, collaboration and communication among Service Line, Market Leaders, Shared Service Leaders, Advisory and Industry Leaders as well as with other stakeholders.
+ Develop the Chicago tax annual budget and drive results against budget and key performance indicators throughout the year for the practice.
Qualifications:
+ Must have an active CPA license.
+ Experience in business taxation with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm with a focus on providing federal (ASC 740), multi-state, international tax-related compliance and consulting services to large middle market clients and U.S. based subsidiaries of foreign multinationals.
+ Demonstrated experience in driving growth and building an office, practice, industry group, service line or similar.
+ Ability to drive success through the influencing of Partners and staff.
