UPMC Community Care Behavioral Health is hiring a full-time Manager, Special Projects. This position will work in a hybrid structure with some time spent in the office at USX or Heinz Tower and some time spent travelling to various stakeholder sites throughout Allegheny County.
The Manager, Special Projects is responsible for writing and managing all new and ongoing reinvestment projects to support the Allegheny County HealthChoices program as determined by the senior management team and Primary Contractor. This person will coordinate multiple projects at once while combining financial, clinical and non-clinical data.
Responsibilities:
+ Work closely and collaboratively with internal multidisciplinary team, our Primary Contractor, Network Providers and other behavioral health stakeholders.
+ Ensure all applicable NCQA, URAC, DHS and other regulatory standards are met.
+ Lead efforts to complete Quality Improvement Activity summaries of these activities.
+ Communicate information about identified projects to other members of the organization through meetings, training, and educational forums.
+ Assist with training responsibilities for providers, Members, and staff on identified issues.
+ Coordinate collection and completion of all necessary material.
+ Provide services to Professional Advisor, Quality and Care Management departments as indicated for all HealthChoices and commercial contracts.
+ Inform senior management of items that are completed and pending.
+ Responsible for closely monitoring the organization's progress toward the goals and identifying areas where progress and lack of progress is occurring.
+ Bachelor's degree or RN license. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor's.
+ 4 years of operations and/or clinical experience required.
+ Prior experience with project management is highly preferred.
+ Prior experience with behavioral health is highly preferred.
+ Master's degree preferred but not required,
+ Demonstrated experience with Quality and/or operations activities.
+ Experience in PA HealthChoices/Pennsylvania Medicaid preferred.
+ Ability to maintain effective professional liaison with all levels of executive and management staff.
+ Excellent clinical, written, and oral communication skills. Independent problem solving based on sophisticated knowledge of relevant monitoring standards and clinically pertinent issues related to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the identified projects.
+ Ability to propose and implement creative solutions to identified trends or problem areas with recommendations for improvement.
+ Responsiveness to deadlines and has work completed on or before deadline 95% of the time.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of identified projects. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
