Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a full time Surface Vessel Torpedo Tube (SVTT) Subject Matter Expert III in San Diego, CA.
Summary: Under minimal supervision, the employee provides direct technical support aboard ships of the U.S. Navy on the operation, inspection, problem identification, troubleshooting and maintenance of SVTT, depth indicator, and underwater communications systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Provide technical services representing SWRMC Engineering Department and other duties as assigned.
+ Provide both on-board, and distance-support technical assistance with direct fleet support of a wide variety of equipment and components for surface ships over their extended operating cycle.
+ Provide services as a system and equipment evaluator and/or inspector for major assessments such as INSURV, C5RA and TSRA.
+ Responsible for one or more of the following systems, their operating software and interfaces, and critical sub-system topology:
+ MK32 Mod 15 Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes (SVTT)
+ MK32 Mod 19 Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes (SVTT)
+ AN/UQN-4 Depth Indicator
+ AN/WQC-2 Underwater Communications Systems
+ Electronic equipment and systems design and testing concepts
+ Troubleshooting and maintenance theories and practices of hardware and software associated with the specified equipment.
+ Highly specialized level of theories, practices, and techniques to include but not be limited to the following cross disciplines: acoustics, electronics, electrical, thermal and piping systems and associated interfaces.
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum 10 years of work-related experience with work-related experience maintaining & operating Surface Vessel Torpedo Tubes and associated equipment.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD SECRET security clearance
+ Effective oral and written communication skills
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $32.30 - $39.50 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
ADA Notations:
+ Routinely climb, ascend or descend vertical ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps and the like to go aboard ships, barges, drydocks and other Naval craft
+ Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise
+ Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships)
+ Routinely moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
+ Sufficient visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, as well as performing visual inspections for the purpose of identifying equipment defects and performing equipment validations
+ Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight
