    Role: Floor Technician

     

    Pay Rate: $18/hr

     

    Hours: 6-11pm

    Responsibilities

    + Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.

    + Safely operate various types of floor care equipment, such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.

    + Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces, including hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas.

    + Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies.

    + Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.

    + Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.

    + Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.

    + All other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    + Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

    + Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.

    + Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.

    + Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.

    + Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.

    + Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.

    + Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.

    + Must provide a criminal background check.
