Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager for a University in the Richmond, VA area. The Operations Manager for this higher education opportunity will oversee the resident and retail business on campus, at this account. The best-qualified candidate will possess good team-building, financial acumen, client relationships, and diverse culinary skills. Experience in supervising authentic, diverse culinary menus is important.

What You'll Do

+ Establishes a safe work environment

+ Assumes the General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in their absence

+ Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships, to ensure account retention

+ Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

+ Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

+ Develops and implements plans, and projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables, and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
