Gananda Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 8th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ELA curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for all students. Salary range $48,300 - $52,252 based on degree and years of experience.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement engaging and effective ELA lesson plans aligned with NYS learning standards.

+ Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and respectful of diverse student needs.

+ Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

+ Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instruction.

+ Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

+ NYS Teaching Certification in English Language Arts (7-12)

+ Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field.

+ Experience teaching ELA at the middle school level is highly desirable.

+ Strong understanding of adolescent development and effective teaching strategies.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
