Atlantic Health System is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Exercise Physiologist I to join our successful cardiac rehab team at Chilton Medical Center's outpatient location in Pompton Plains! The candidate will be join a multidisciplinary team with a shared mission of improving patient outcomes. This position is per diem, will have varying shifts that are dependent on the need of the department, without weekend obligations.

The Exercise Physiologist will be responsible for the following:

The initial assessment and treatment plan design of both our outpatient cardiac rehab and Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Artery Disease patients.

1. Provides exercise supervision of all cardiac rehab and SET-PAD patients.

2.. Assists team in maintaining appropriate exercise guidance to aid in optimal patient outcomes.

3. Demonstrates ability to identify signs and symptoms to provide safe and effective environment. Understands when to escalate urgent and non-urgent clinical needs of patients.

4. .Understanding of appropriate physiological changes during cardiac rehab sessions and how to apply to exercise planning.

5.. ECG screening and monitoring during exercise sessions.

6.. Providing risk factor and exercise education to patients.

7.. Helps drive patient outcome collection and improvement.

8. Communicates effectively with other team members and medical staff to maximize patient success and safety.

9. Assists in delivering education to team members on evidence-based exercise principles.

10. Collaborates on projects to support the department and the cardiovascular service line in Atlantic Health.

13. Demonstrates strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.

14. Other duties may be assigned.

Required:

1. Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or related field.

2. BLS cert

Preferred:

1. Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field.

2. 1-3 years professional cardiac rehab experience.

3. Certification: American College of Sports Medicine-Clinical Exercise Physiologist ACSM-CEP®

4. ACLS
