POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Inspector B is responsible for the inspection and testing of processes and products to ensure quality. Working with a variety of inspection equipment, methods, processes, and products; QA Inspectors will ensure all proper procedures are being followed and documented to maintain ISO and customer standards resulting in total compliance with company quality policy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Perform incoming and routine inspections per approved drawings, control plans and specifications that include dimensional, visual and functional verification
+ Monitoring and inspecting of product and processes that ensure production of parts to company quality policy standards
+ Finished goods inspection
+ Receiving and Outside Process inspection
+ Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results
+ Ensuring outgoing products comply with required specifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Maintain the quality record matrix and quality forms
+ Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms
+ Perform analysis on select processes and report findings
+ Recommend updated or new processes
+ Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports
+ Assist in the quarantine of defective materials
+ Administer approved changes to the quality system
+ Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparator, micrometer, caliper, MicroVu, Oasis operation, hard gages, height gages GO/NO GO gages, thread gages, profilometer and roundness checkers
+ Accuracy verification of gages and measuring equipment
+ Mechanically and mathematically adept
+ Assist in QA and ISO audits
+ All other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
+ High School Diploma and/or G.E.D
+ Minimum 2 years' experience in manufacturing quality and inspection processes
+ Must be quality conscious and in continual pursuit of improvement
+ Exhibit core values of integrity and accountability
+ Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient work area
+ Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment and in a solo capacity
+ Demonstrate ability to read, write, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English
+ Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills
+ Possess data entry and computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications
+ Regularly required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands, arms and feet
+ Frequently required to talk and hear, to stand, walk or sit, to balance, stoop, and crouch
+ Occasionally required to push, pull, and/or safely lift various pieces of equipment or parts weighing up to 35 pounds from floor to table
+ Vision abilities (corrective or non) include close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
+ Ability to understand and comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures and advocate ISO system standards
