Job Summary
The Manager of Information Systems oversees, coordinates, and supervises a team of professional, technical, and analytical staff involved in application development, technical services, and enterprise projects. This position is responsible for driving organizational and departmental goals through effective leadership, ensuring the achievement of key results in patient and customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth, and quality and safety outcomes. The IT Manager works closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including external auditors, process owners, management, and business leaders, to ensure alignment and success in IT initiatives.
Essential Functions
+ Is responsible for department's operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
+ Ensures the roll out of tactical action plans, contributor goals and accountability measures that result in successful execution of organization goals.
+ Directs and manages IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
+ Manages daily operations with accountability for achieving targeted levels of growth, budget and additional specified short and long term financial objectives.
+ Ensures data protection and regulatory compliance as well as implements cyber security measures and protocols.
+ Responsible for overall information technology and network operations.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
+ Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant work experience in healthcare information systems required or
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
+ 2-4 years of experience in healthcare or information services required
+ 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Deep knowledge in healthcare industry needs and trends.
+ Ability to develop and present strategy and operational plans.
+ Ability to lead a team of technical and professional staff.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Operational and people management skills.
+ Ability to lead a team and engage employees.
+ Results oriented with proven success at working collaboratively with all stakeholders to meet key goals.
Licenses and Certifications
+ Clinical certification/licensing or IT certification. required
