Job Description:
**CD&D Senior Scientist, Archer Daniels Midland Company, Erlanger, KY.** Design, prepare, and present innovative formulas in accordance with customer needs and ADM requirements. Commercialize Beverage and systems, to support required pilot trials as well as full commercial production. Prepare detailed customer demos that share product specifications as well as beverage claims. Develop robust food safe formula. Complete Commercialization Activities to prepare product for commercial production, including completion of single ingredient and finished product stability. Understand beverage market. Upload formulas in programs such as AS-400 & LEAD for pricing, regulatory documents, and manufacturing instructions. Assess existing and potential nonconformities and technical issues and trouble shoot to find root cause and corrective action. Conduct routine monitoring of technical and business programs. Support and influence ACM and ISO. Review existing training methods and suggest improvements while keeping apprised of current training requirements.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $107,136/yr. - $117,136/yr.
MINIMUM** **REQUIREMENTS** **:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Food Science or a related field, and five (5) years of post- bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in the following:
+ Conducting ratio scaling, fraction proportioning, percentage calculations, graphing techniques, and predictive modeling;
+ Chemistry terms and concepts, basic human physiology, along with intermediate Chemistry and Biology knowledge including chemical elements, compounds, reactions, and terminology;
+ Managingand completingfood andbeverageprojects frominitialdevelopmentthroughtofinalproduction;
+ Maintaining detailed reports, formulations, and process instructions for projects;
+ Using analytical equipment and maintaining a clean, stocked, and organized laboratory, ensuring work areas met health and safety regulations; and
+ Conducting Sensory and Stability testing: directs, modifies, and issues customer reports.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
