**In this role** , the **Senior Director, Data Analytics** must give our Executives the tactical advantage in the business. They must understand our market research to provide a competitive edge and relevant insight. They must bridge the gap between technological complexity and the business requirements. They must test the market conditions and come up with a good plan as they are responsible for leading a team of data analytical professionals providing relevant information and key insights into our clients while ensuring that ADP’s business leaders have access to timely, accurate, and impactful insights.
The Senior Director will be comfortable working with complex data scenarios with tech, some that have never been used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution. **To thrive in this role,** you’ll need to be an expert in data technologies with SQL, Python and have a background in driving data science, machine learning, GenAI, and data analytics initiatives. **WHAT YOU’LL DO:** Responsibilities
Business Intelligence Leadership & Strategy:
+ Develop and execute a strategic vision for the data analytics team, aligning with key business objectives.
+ Participates in upfront planning and identification of key performance indicators and ROI tied to strategies.
+ Leverages statistical techniques to develop models that predict client/prospect behavior.Build market segmentation analyses and uses them to help identify opportunities for increased business.
+ Draws strategic and tactical conclusions from analyses to make recommendations and influence to-to-market strategy.
+ Serve as the Data Analytics subject matter expert (SME), driving the evolution of data analytics and business intelligence best practices, frameworks, and tools.
+ Provide technical and strategic leadership in data visualization, dashboarding, and self-service analytics to empower stakeholders with meaningful insights.
+ Continuously assess and advance ADP’s Data Anlaytics technology stack, identifying opportunities to drive innovation and integrate cutting-edge data visualization, automation, and analytics tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
Team Leadership & Development
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data analytics team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
+ Provide strategic direction to Data Analytics Directors, Managers, and Analysts, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
+ Recruit, retain, and develop top talent, building a strong pipeline of future leaders in data analytics.
Business Partnership & Insights Delivery
+ The position identifies meaningful synergies and relationships with products and services and presents strategies and findings that can be effectively implemented within organization
+ Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership within the business, providing data-driven recommendations that influence key business decisions.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams, within the D&A organization and outside of it (e.g. Finance, Product, etc.) to align efforts with broader organizational goals.
+ Design and implement executive-level dashboards and reports that provide visibility into key performance metrics (KPIs) and drive to business outcomes.
+ Own and improve storytelling methodologies, ensuring complex data insights are communicated in a clear, actionable, and compelling manner.
Scalability & Process Optimization
+ Establish and standardize scalable, repeatable BI processes that drive efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple business units.
+ Develop and enforce governance structures, data quality standards, and BI best practices to ensure consistency and trust in reporting.
+ Implement automation and self-service BI capabilities to empower stakeholders with real-time insights while reducing manual reporting efforts.
+ Work with Data Engineering and Product teams to build and maintain a robust data infrastructure that supports scalable, enterprise-wide analytics initiatives.
+ Optimize reporting cadences, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration models to improve efficiency and alignment between BI and business stakeholders.
+ Monitor, refine, and continuously improve BI processes, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and emerging analytics capabilities.
**TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:** _Requirements_
+ 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, and/or Data Strategy
+ 5+ years of leadership experience, including managing analytical teams and business intelligence professionals
+ Experience in data technologies with SQL and Python
+ Experience in driving data science, machine learning, GenAI, and data analytics initiatives
+ Experience with Cloud technologies like AWS, Databricks, Snowflake or similar
+ Advanced proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create compelling, executive-level visualizations
+ Strong storytelling skills – ability to translate complex data insights into simple, impactful business narratives
+ Deep understanding of KPI development, operational reporting, and performance measurement frameworks
+ Experience working cross-functionally with Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Stewards, and Business Transformation teams
**Bonus points for these:** Preferred Qualifications
+ MBA or advanced degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
+ HCM experience in payroll, employment tax, wage payments, wage garnishments, tax credits, ACA Healthcare and beyond
+ Java knowledge
+ Expertise in change management and large-scale transformation initiativesB2B experience with deep knowledge of service-oriented business models including financial analysis

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $113,700.00 - $230,500.00 / Year
