As a Hardware Lab Engineer at Meta, you will take a critical role in providing engineering solutions to support hardware lab engineering services. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Lab Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the lab management and operation team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions and tools to optimize lab services and infrastructure operations. You will collaborate with lab managers and users to identify operational challenges and opportunities for improvement, working independently and as part of cross-functional teams to complete tasks and projects. Required Skills:
Hardware Lab Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Leads a small hardware lab Infrastructure support team, identifies lab user infra needs and challenges
2. Works with the global backend infrastructure(US and Asia-Pacific) to handle lab infra operation tasks, security patch update, equipment provisioning, data solutions to meet lab technical and security compliance requirements
3. Leads the development of lab engineering services
4. Hands on development of lab automation software, including infrastructure, equipment, devices under test, test cases etc, supports test fixture design and development
5. Develops standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to staff
6. Fosters and maintains customer relationships and support lab management and operations
7. Communicates cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal/external stakeholders to drive better lab operations
8. Continuously evaluate and improve processes, tools, and systems to optimize efficiency and quality of repairs
Minimum Qualifications:

9. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networks, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10. 3+ years of experience in hardware lab environment, working knowledge with Lab users, Lab Admin, Network Security, Enterprise Network Operations, Program Management, and hardware engineering partners
11. Understanding of LAN (Local Area Network) and global network infrastructure, windows, linux based lab equipment

12. 5+ years of experience in lab automation software and test fixture development
13. Proficiency with lab system integration, lab engineering services development and support
14. Proficiency with Python, C/C++, shell script, or similar, Android development environment
Public Compensation:
$111,000/year to $164,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
