Art Director (Dickies AMER)

What will you do?

A day in the life of an Art Director at Dickies looks a little like this.

With a digital ‘first’ approach, the Art Director applies their craft as a gifted visual storyteller to marketing, design and photography deliverables. Photo and video art direction for all ecommerce imagery. Ensuring our brand vision is consistent, including lighting, model cast, styling photo editing and selection.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

+ Works closely with Creative Director and team to bring ideas to life.

+ Collaborate with strategy to connect the dots back to the team’s work.

+ Art Direction of Photoshoots and video production, including all creative aspects of a shoot from ideation to building a photo library of selects, to budget management.

+ Responsible for high level communicationwith all stakeholders regarding concepts, product, production schedules.

+ Covers cross-functional meetings and communicates back to team when needed.

+ Responsible for all steps of the creative process from concept to execution while delivering on time and on budget.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

+ A strong visual aesthetic with a deep understanding of design principles with experience in digital, video and print

+ Good eye for detail with ability to see the big picture

+ A confident communicator that can direct graphic designers, production artists, photographers, videographers, stylists, talent and video editors

+ Ability to visualize and craft photographic images into multiple design formats (print, POS, web, digital, social, presentation decks)

+ Proactive in nature and driven to act with a sense of urgency; able to work well under pressure and with demanding deadlines

+ Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical

+ Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ 5+ years of Related Professional Experience

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

+ Apparel brand marketing preferred

Hiring Range** **:

$88,128.00 USD - $110,160.00 USD annually

**Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
