    Job Title: Quality Control Assistant

     

    Pay Rate: $20.27/hr to $30.41/hr (depending on experience)

     

    Hours of Work: Day Shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    Job Scope:

    This job offers a wide diversity of responsibilities with little direction given. This position entails interfacing with customers and employees both in person and by phone and email. This person will be responsible for quality matters within Alaskan Copper fabrication facilities. This position reports to the Quality Control Manager.

    Job Summary:

    Document procedures under direction, perform audits, interface with customer quality control staff.

    Required Essential Job Skills/Experience:

    1. Experience with industrial Quality Control programs.

    2. Ability to interpret fabrication drawings.

    3. Excellent reading and writing skills.

    4. Able to create QC documents.

    5. Familiarity with MS Windows applications.

    Required Essential Job Functions/Duties:

    1. Perform in-house and vendor QC Audits.

    2. Assist with implementation of quality requirements of contracts.

    3. Provide customer inspectors with documentation and assistance during their audits and final inspection of items.

    4. Be responsible for final inspection, documentation, certifications, etc. related to fabricated items.

    5. Answer customer inquiries.

    Desirable Job Skills/Experience:

    1. Experience with or qualification to ASNT-SNT-TC-1A Level I or II in Radiographic, Liquid Penetrant or Visual testing.

    2. Familiarity with military specifications and NAVSEA Technical Publications 248 (Welding Qualification), 271 (NDT Methods) and 278 (Fabrication, Welding and Inspection.

    3. Experience to meet deadlines.
