    Job Overview

     

    We’re on the lookout for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our growing marketing team. This in-office role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the variety of managing both social media and broader marketing support responsibilities.

     

    In this position, you'll split your time between crafting engaging content and supporting behind-the-scenes operations. You'll help drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation across social media platforms while also assisting with campaign execution, store support, printed materials, and team coordination.

     

    Social Media (50%)

     

    + Manage and schedule content across all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)

    + Assist with content creation including copywriting, graphics, and short-form videos

    + Monitor social media trends, engagement, and competitor activity

    + Respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community engagement

    + Support influencer partnerships and campaign launches

    + Track performance and generate social media reports with insights and recommendations

    + Create campaigns, catalogs and posts to promote our brand to a wider audience

     

    Marketing Assistant & Store Support (50%)

     

    + Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to provide support to all store locations

    + Assist in executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and email marketing

    + Print and organize tags, signage, and promotional materials for in-store use

    + Help with the coordination of store resupply for printed materials

    + Communicate with store managers to gather feedback, relay updates, and ensure alignment

    + Prepare reports and presentations for the CEO and Senior Marketing Manager

    + Stay on top of industry trends and competitor activity to bring fresh ideas to the team

    Key Responsibilities

    + Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, etc.)

    + Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos, stories, reels) aligned with brand voice and marketing goals

    + Monitor social media channels, respond to comments/messages, and engage with followers to build community

    + Track and report on social media performance and key metrics (engagement, reach, impressions, etc.)

    + Support email marketing campaigns, including writing, editing, and scheduling newsletters

    + Coordinate with designers, and other team members to produce marketing materials

    + Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences

    + Assist in the planning and execution of digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads)

    + Perform administrative tasks to support the marketing team (e.g., scheduling meetings, organizing assets)

    Qualifications

    + Associate’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Media Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 1-2 years of experience in marketing

    + 1-2 years of experience in social media role (internships count!)

    + Strong understanding of major social media platforms and digital marketing trends

    + Proficiency in Canva required

    + Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus

    + Experience with Sprout Social

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Creative thinker with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn

    + Basic knowledge of SEO

    + Email marketing with Klayvio tools is a plus

    + Proficiency in Microsoft 365 – Main uses Word, Excel, Powerpoint

    + Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability

    + Aptitude for learning new software and systems
