We are seeking a **Coating Inspector - NACE Level II (CM Inspector 2)** to join our Oakland, CA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Perform field inspections of protective coating systems on steel and concrete structures

+ Monitor surface preparation (abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning, etc.) and coating application in accordance with project specs and DOT standards

+ Utilize tools such as DFT gauges, surface profile comparators, environmental monitors, and holiday detectors

+ Verify environmental conditions and ensure proper curing times and application procedures

+ Maintain accurate inspection records, daily logs, and photographic documentation

+ Coordinate with field crews, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure compliance

+ Support Quality Assurance initiatives and participate in pre-activity meetings

+ Assist with training and oversight of Level I inspectors n (NEPA, FERC etc.)

Minimum requirements:

+ NACE/AMPP Level II Coating Inspector Certification (CIP Level 2) – required

+ 1–3 years of coatings inspection experience on civil or infrastructure projects

+ Familiarity with DOT, ASTM, and SSPC standards for coatings and corrosion protection

+ Strong reporting/documentation skills

+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field locations

+ Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Other miscellaneous qualities:

+ Ability to travel. Work will be in the San Francisco Bay area

+ Ability to work at Heights.

+ Experience working with Lead Abatement required

Compensation:

$48/hr-$72/hr

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
