**Position Title:** Operator

Houston, Texas 77015

**Salary:** $17.00 per hour (Day Shift)

Work Schedule:

+ **Days:** Monday to Friday (some weekends may be required)

+ **Hours:** 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

+ **Shift Details:** 12-hour shifts; 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks

+ **Expected Work Hours:** 60 to 70 hours per week

+ **Attendance:** Good attendance is required

Job Description:

Manpower is currently seeking an Operator for a (Temporary to Hire) position. The position involves working in a very physically demanding environment, requiring individuals to lift heavy materials and maintain safety standards. The successful candidate will be expected to perform physical labor, operate forklifts, and contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prioritize safety and contribute to the company’s safety culture

+ Regularly move raw materials from warehousing to blending operations

+ Work with forklift drivers to ensure materials are delivered in an orderly manner, avoiding delays in production

+ Dose raw materials into blending operations

+ Track and record dosage, lot numbers, scrap, and production issues

+ Package and palletize finished products

+ Regular operation of forklifts

+ Keep process area clean and organized

+ Perform general housekeeping duties in various areas of the facility

+ Assist with production, bagging, warehouse, and shipping areas as needed

+ Clean up material and return it to proper storage areas or trash areas

+ Maintain a neat and efficient workspace

+ Complete other duties as assigned by the Factory Manager

Required Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or GED equivalent with strong math skills

+ Ability to follow detailed instructions and work orders

+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

+ Strong self-motivation and the ability to work well in a team environment

+ Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, exposure to temperature extremes, and noisy environment)

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Formal technical education

+ Forklift certified or experience using a forklift

Screening Requirements:

+ Must be screened by Manpower

+ Interviewed by the HR Manager and Factory Operator

+ 6-panel drug screen and clean background check required

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Required:

+ Hard hat

+ Steel-toe boots

+ Uniform

+ Safety glasses

+ Ear plugs

+ Mask

+ Gloves
