Job Description
A client of Insight Global in the retail industry is seeking Project Managers to assist with an initiative to update manual systems in warehouses & delivery centers, to automated systems and make processes faster, safer and more efficient. We are looking for hands on TECHNICAL ENGINEERING project managers who aren't afraid to get super involved and go onsite. This person will be in the field 75% of the time, executing on projects. They will spend 2 weeks in the field and 4 weeks of prep prior for every project including; planning and coordinate with procurement, supply chain, install vendors, safety and operation teams to get people aligned to execute. Average project is 4-6 weeks and each PM will own 2-3 projects at a time. More complex projects will last 2-3 months. We are looking for people who can support & the commissioning of automation systems, ability to read through specs, hold 3rd party vendors accountable to the appropriate install guidelines. The ideal candidate, has an engineering background within automation, controls, industrial or electrical work and has managed projects similar in nature. The average schedule will include travel Monday - Friday; occasional weekends - if required you may need to stay to oversee the resolution of an issue. All expenses are reimbursable.

* Engineering experience - specific to controls, industrial or electrical
* Experience managing large projects
* Cross functional collaboration skills to effectively drive progress
* Technology adept - the ability to quickly learn new technology
* Adaptable to change and innovation * PMP
* Experience with conveyor systems null
