NP/PA – Hospitalist – Sandstone, MN

_PRACTICE SPECIFICS:_

_The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients age 18+. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others._

Role Specifics:

The Hospitalist group is a small team of employees with a good working relationship.

The ideal candidate will have a hospital based background, in addition to ACLS and PALS certification.

Anticipated Work Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts: 0700-1900 shift – no nights/no call.

Average Daily Census of hospital = 26

Preferred qualifications: Physician Assistant, Adult Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner with experience.

EDUCATION:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR, PALS, ACLS National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
