Additional benefit package information is availablehere. *Does this job match your strengths?* *Job Overview* The Investigations Bureau of the office of the Commissioner of Securities and Insurance, Montana State Auditor (CSI), investigates and enforces the State regulations pertaining to insurance practices throughout Montana. The Bureau plays a major role in maintaining the health and integrity of the insurance industries in Montana. The Bureau is responsible for investigations in allegations of violations of the Montana Insurance Code. This function involves the investigation and prosecution of civil and criminal violations. The Bureau conducts criminal and administrative investigations of theft, insurance fraud, and other violations related to insurance, including workers compensation, insurance claims, insurance producers, and bail bonds. This position serves as an Investigator with responsibility for planning and administering statewide investigations of alleged illegal insurance activities. Duties include coordinating and conducting statewide fraud investigations and compliance audits; coordinating various aspects of the bureau's programs (e.g., evidence maintenance, researching and reporting, etc.); and performing other duties as assigned. *What are we looking for?* The ideal candidate in this position will have a good understanding of insurance industry practices, strategies, and terminology, and be able to interpret regulations pertaining to insurance and securities practices (e.g., Montana Insurance Code, Administrative Rules of Montana, etc.). The successful candidate in this position should exhibit an overall understanding of criminal investigation methods, criminal justice jurisdiction, rules of evidence, privacy regulations, and criminal procedures, conducting investigative interviews, report writing, giving oral testimony, and legal proceedings.
