Position Summary:
This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor and is an entry-level role responsible for assisting in the processing and management of payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. This role will work closely with the Payroll Manager and other Payroll and HR team members to support various payroll-related functions.
Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:
Scope: Does Not Have Direct Reports
Essential Functions:
+ Prepare and process payroll for team members
+ Ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations
+ Work closely with HR and finance teams to gather and verify payroll data
+ Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner
+ Provide exceptional support to staff regarding payroll inquiries
+ Maintain and update payroll records and documentation
+ Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and summaries
+ Participate in payroll audits and ensure data integrity
+ Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations
+ Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
+ Basic understanding of payroll processes and regulations (preferred but not required)
+ No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided
